Consider a Discipleship Training School (DTS) at YWAM Montana. The vision for the DTS is to take you deeper in your discipleship journey with Christ and give you the tools to reach out to others as part of an overseas outreach.

Start your journey in beautiful Lakeside, Montana. Our campus sits on three acres at the foot of Blacktail Mountain.

We are just 1.3 miles from Flathead Lake, 30 miles to Whitefish Mountain, and about an hour from Glacier National Park. All stunning elements of creation.  

YWAM Montana offers DTS electives to help you develop your skills and train for missions within your passion.  Elective schools are based on availability, dates, and class size. The following 2025 electives may be offered:  

Music, Sports, Dance, Creative Media, and Strategic Missions.

Our Discipleship Training School (DTS) offers a comprehensive, five-month program divided into two distinct phases designed to introduce you to the world of global missions.

We firmly believe that the talents and passions you possess are gifts from God, meant to be used with purpose. During the lecture phase of the DTS, you'll have the opportunity to dedicate 4-5 hours each week to develop your skills in a chosen elective. This is your chance to harness your passions and use them to glorify God and make His presence known across the globe.

Taking a season of my life to fully refocus my heart, body, and spirit on God truly brought transformation. Throughout the lecture phase, I experienced a breakthrough from past hurts. While on outreach, God used me and my team in the nations to spread His truth and share His love.

DTS transformed my perspective on what being a disciple looks like. I could understand the cost of following Jesus and sharing that and the Gospel with other cultures. In DTS, God gave me a new way of understanding the world vs. His Word. It was in the right season for God to allow growth to happen in me that I didn't think was possible. 

Throughout my DTS, the Lord taught me how to trust Him more and allow him to guide me. Though things might not always go as I plan, I can trust that the lord is truly in control and watching over my life.
